REVIEW: GUERISSON HORSE OIL HYDROGEL GOLD MASK

MaskGenie Challenge Mask 7: Guerisson Horse Oil Hydrogel Gold Mask

Guerisson, one of the higher end Korean skincare brands, has come out with a highly raved 24K gold mask. I personally don't really like hydrogel masks due to their slippery slimy texture, but I have heard so many great things about them! This one, surprisingly, is rather small in size, and didn't even cover my whole face - the sides of my face weren't covered nor did it extend to my hairline! Since this is a two-part mask, my nose was covered better than most other masks, but still, it wasn't perfect. It's a 30-40 minute mask, so it's great to relax with, but can be too time-consuming if you're tight on time. It's a thin type of mask, gold in colour, doesn't rip easily, and it also has a faint relaxing scent. After removing the mask, my face felt moisturised, and my pores appeared to be slightly smaller, but it did leave parts of my face slightly sticky.
For the price, I would've expected more.

REVIEW: TO BE NANG GOLD 24K SNAIL NUTRITION HYDRO GEL MASK

This was featured in the Memebox Special #54 Miracle Masks. There were three "flavours" of masks from the To Be Nang brand inside the Miracle Masks Box, and since this one says it's a 24K gold mask, it seemed like a very classy mask to use.

It comes in a gold packaging - looks like an expensive kind of mask!
When I opened up the package, I could see that there was a lot of essence inside. When I took the mask out from the packaging, it felt super slippery on my hands, and it was slightly difficult putting it on my face properly, especially when I had put an eye mask on already. After adjusting it for a while, I was able to leave the mask on my face, but since it was a really slippery mask, the bottom half of the mask kept slipping down to cover my lips - this got a little annoying, because I always had to push the mask back up even though I tried to lie down as much as I could (I had just washed my hair and so lying down with wet hair wasn't good, and I was limited to watching TV episodes on my phone while lying down, because I wasn't allowed to walk around like I normally would with other sheet masks). Okay, so apart from that, I also experienced some irritations on my skin - I'm not sure whether it was because I kept pushing the mask back up or what, but I felt a slight itchy feeling above my lips. As I continued to leave the mask on, I started to get a slight itchy feeling over other parts of my face too, but it wasn't unbearable, so I just left it on my face for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, I removed the mask from my face, and massaged the remaining essence onto my face. There was a lot of essence left on my face (so much that I was putting it on my arms etc), and it left my face feeling quite sticky (eww I hate that feeling!). It was still sticky 10 minutes after I removed the mask, and since the itchy feeling was still there, and it became quite unbearable, I had to wash my face with water, and while doing so, I felt that I was washing off a thick layer of essence on my face. My face was still slightly irritated afterwards, and what surprised me most, is that arm became red and itchy (because I had applied the essence onto my arms), but it did leave my face feeling quite soft.

Not really impressed with this mask - not sure what I'm sensitive to, but I'm usually not sensitive to any gold or snail products, so I really don't know about this one. I asked the others at MUT about this mask, but nobody seemed to have any reactions to it, just me.
